Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Egypt British International School. It is my pleasure to welcome you to Key stage 3 and the EBIS secondary school.

As a team we are committed and determined to ensure the highest of expectations and standards are set for our students in order to help them strive to reach their full potential. As a result we hope our students leave EBIS with the tools and confidence to make an impact in the world as life-long learners.

Within the key stage students are given the responsibility for their own learning in order help them become independent learners to prepare them for the next challenge in their academic journeys. In doing this we provide a safe, welcoming and caring environment where all students are provided with the support they require to progress and succeed within the broad and balanced curriculum we offer.

Lessons are engaging, student-led and include the use of different forms of ICT making lessons high quality and full of the latest teaching techniques. All teachers promote British values while appreciating the different cultures and traditions in each classroom. Relationships are built rooted in mutual respect between staff and students where students are taught to respect each other while retaining responsibility for their own actions.

The leadership team clearly communicates targets and expectations to all staff and students which results in a clear purpose and direction of the key stage. The team is committed to achieving the key stage goals and always looks for CPD opportunities to improve their own practice for our students.

We look to the parents for their support at an exciting transitional period in EBIS secondary school and will work with you in ensuring all students make progress and succeed while being proud to be a part of the EBIS community. I would like all students to think back fondly of their time at EBIS once they leave for their next challenge.

I wish all students every success in the coming academic year.
